It is said that when one door closes another one opens. Over
the past 6 months I have had the honor and privilege to lead an extraordinary
group of men and women through some difficult times. I could not be any prouder as I watched those
around me reach far above and beyond what was asked of them. I watched as this
small group of people formed a bond that was truly unique in so many ways. Indeed
this group of people drawn together in a common bond has truly become a family.
While there is sadness in closing the church that so many have fought so hard
for, I believe that it provided each of us with the opportunity learn more
about ourselves. God showed us that even when things seem impossible, we can
overcome so long as we remain focused on the face of Jesus. He showed not only
where our strengths are but also how to build up each other through the
strength that He provides.
Each of you takes with you a unique gift from God. It is my solemn
prayer that you take these gifts and use them to build up others in the word of
God. Through you with the Love and Support of God you can, and will, accomplish
great things.
Remember always that the church is you and not a building.
God is with you wherever life carries you. Remember God also, not just when
times seem bad, but when times are good as well. It is okay to mourn your loss,
but remember God is in this too. So mourn for a season if you must, then with
God on your side show those around you that through Him all things are
possible. Pastor Clyde Lape
Ephesians 4:11-13
11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be
prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to
prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be
built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the
Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of
Christ. |
